In 1995 the Royal Mint issued a new Pound coin with a Dragon on it for Wales, they also issued, as usual, these wonderful limited edition Sterling Silver Proofs for collectors.
We think that this is one of the nicest Pounds the Mint has issued, the Dragon design just looks good, just like every child’s dream of what a dragon might look like.
You have so-called Maklouf bust of the Queen on one side and the fantasy land Dragon on the other side. Each coin comes in protective capsule. Well worth adding to your collection especially with the new pound coin having just been released, interest and demand in these older issues is much greater.
