The Five Pence was struck on a large sized planchet up to and including 1989 thereafter they were struck on small sized planchets as they are today.
From 1968-1981 the denomination was 'Five New Pence' and they were struck on large planchets then, from 1982 to 1989, they were 'Five Pence' and struck on large planchets and from 1990 they were 'Five Pence'
and struck on small planchets.
The coins are Brilliant Uncirculated and are now very difficult to obtain in this condition.
